Very lovely weather today. Perfect to go hunting for nargles, except they don't live around here. I saw a few more wrackspurts the other day. It's much harder without the spectrespecs, but I'm sure I'll have some again soon. My pair was at home, but it'd be very hard to find them there now. Does anyone here have a pair, if you don't mind lending them out for a little while? They're very glowy goggles.

Oh, and please don't worry about my Professor. He does that from time to time. I'm sure he'll be right as rain very shortly.

Has anyone here ever seen the future?

I'm not so sure on the goggles dear, but I am that Albus can take care of himself.

As to the third point: I've done a bit of forecasting in my time, but I don't know if that's exactly what you meant child.

Nargles? Is that another form of - FAIRY! On your world?

Spectrespecs? Interesting, some pair of googles that allows you to see these creatures? Make them yourself?

Albus, is fine. In fact, he's over here at the moment.

I've never heard of spectrespecs, but they sound very exciting!

So am I.

No, not like forecasting. Just being ahead and looking back.

From: [identity profile] saneasme.livejournal.com
No, not like a fairy. They're more like insects.

Yes, that's what they do. My father made them.

I'm sure he is.

They help you see wrackspurts, which are invisible and make your brain go fuzzy. They seem to flock around schools, for some reason.

Then I would have to say no, dear.
Why do you ask?

From: [identity profile] saneasme.livejournal.com
Because I think I am.

Explain.

AH HA! I KNEW IT! Sounds like what I do. Oh? Your father made them? What does he do?

That... is certainly unusual, at least in my world. Are such things common there, child? Might there be someone you can talk to about this?

They live in mistletoe and hypnotize people. Very scary, really.

He publishes the Quibbler. Usually. He's a little busy at the moment, I think.

No, they aren't very common here. Most people go forward in straight lines. But it's okay, because I'm not a very common person.

Not right now. My Professor will worry, and my teachers aren't here.

I see! I've never really been to a proper school, so that must be why I haven't heard of wrackspurts!

From: [identity profile] crackpotcrocker.livejournal.com
Um, sounds like it. Do those 'googles' prevent one from being hypontized?

Quibbler? Interesting name.

No, they just help you see wrackspurts and other invisible things. You need a spray to get rid of nargles.

Have you heard of it? It's a newspaper that publishes the truth, as well as things other papers don't acknowledge.

They don't usually teach about them in mine. But they're why you forget answers before you take tests.

You certainly are one of a kind, child. The closest we come are those gifted in astrology, and a blind woman who can see into people's hearts.

... I'm pretty sure Albus will want to know about this dear. Will you tell him when things settle down a bit?
From: [identity profile] killerbaseball.livejournal.com
... What exactly are nargles and wrackspurts?

And who is your Professor, if I may ask?

It's never happened to me before. I think I know what happens next.

His future is the one I know.

oh good, she loves an audience :D

Nargles are insects that commonly live in mistletoe. Wrackspurts are invisible floaty things that make your brain go fuzzy.

Albus Dumbledore. He's my headmaster, too.

I see... I wonder if wrackspurts exist in my world as well.

Ah, I do believe I have met him. He seems like a fine fellow.

Oh, I see. Like my Heat Seeking Fairy Googles
Wrackspruts?
Oh, what kind of spray?

No, afraid I haven't. But I don't suppose you've heard of the Dimmsdale Daily, either.

Sounds like a newspaper I, would like. Does the paper sell, well at all?

Date: 2010-04-10 05:46 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] saneasme.livejournal.com
They might. They're impossible to see without the spectrespecs, but you can tell they're around if your brain goes fuzzy.

He is.
