Very lovely weather today. Perfect to go hunting for nargles, except they don't live around here. I saw a few more wrackspurts the other day. It's much harder without the spectrespecs, but I'm sure I'll have some again soon. My pair was at home, but it'd be very hard to find them there now. Does anyone here have a pair, if you don't mind lending them out for a little while? They're very glowy goggles.

Oh, and please don't worry about my Professor. He does that from time to time. I'm sure he'll be right as rain very shortly.

Has anyone here ever seen the future?

No, not like a fairy. They're more like insects.

Yes, that's what they do. My father made them.

I'm sure he is.

Explain.

AH HA! I KNEW IT! Sounds like what I do. Oh? Your father made them? What does he do?

They live in mistletoe and hypnotize people. Very scary, really.

He publishes the Quibbler. Usually. He's a little busy at the moment, I think.

Um, sounds like it. Do those 'googles' prevent one from being hypontized?

Quibbler? Interesting name.

No, they just help you see wrackspurts and other invisible things. You need a spray to get rid of nargles.

Have you heard of it? It's a newspaper that publishes the truth, as well as things other papers don't acknowledge.

Oh, I see. Like my Heat Seeking Fairy Googles
Wrackspruts?
Oh, what kind of spray?

No, afraid I haven't. But I don't suppose you've heard of the Dimmsdale Daily, either.

Sounds like a newspaper I, would like. Does the paper sell, well at all?

Heat seeking?

Invisible floaty things. They make your brain go fuzzy.

No, not at all. Most people here read The Daily Prophet, even though they shouldn't.

We've had a lot more readers ever since we interviewed Harry. But business has slowed down since Christmas. I'm sure it will pick back up soon, though.

Yes, heat seeking. You know, when something is invisible and you can't see it, I use the googles to pick up body heat. Patent Pending FAIRY GODPARENTS!

How is it they make your brain go 'fuzzy', as you say.

Well, no one here should read the Dimmsdale Daily. So, do yourself a favor if you're ever here. Don't read it.

Harry? Oh, right. Albus spoke of him.
Well, people don't like the truth. I doubt that paper will pick up again.

What if you picked up other hot things besides fairies? Like fireflies.

They get inside your head and eat your thoughts. It's not as scary as it sounds.

I'll try to remember that.

He's my friend.

Yes, it will. When my father gets back. I'm sure it will.

Insects don't give off nearly as much body heat.

... Well, prehaps not to you. I wouldn't want something magical inside my head eatting away my thoughts. Have enough of a memory problem as it is, apparently.

Well, at least you're optimistic about it.
Oh, he's not there... Sorry.

They would if they were on fire.

Those thoughts have to go somewhere.

People need to know the truth, and there's a lot of truth to tell.

Not right now. He's been having trouble lately. But it won't last forever. It's nothing to be sorry about.

Mmm. Point.

Well, if you find where they went. Let me know.

Yes, yes they do and one day, I'll show them. I'll SHOW THEM ALL!

They were eaten by the wrackspurts, of course.

That doesn't mean they have to listen, though.

He will. He hasn't left. He's just been taken away. Or the other way around.

FIDDLE STICKS!

When I control free will, they will. [More Maniacal Laughter] FAIRY GODPARENTS!

Of course, he was taken away. Makes perfect sense.

That won't work. Control and free are opposites.

It's the truth.

I do know. You can't be free and be controlled at the same time. And I know my father would be here if he could. I'm sure he's very worried.

... Must you keep using your father as a point of reference? Can't you use your mother, instead?

I'm afraid I must. My mother's dead.
